Regular airing out in the fresh air is sufficient. If the wool is heavily soiled, it can easily be brushed out. If washing is still necessary, we recommend gentle hand washing or washing in the washing machine on a wool cycle.

How can I protect my wool felt accessories from moths?
Da Wolle ein Naturprodukt ist, wird sie leider auch von unliebsamen Motten gerne als Nahrungsquelle genutzt. Prinzipiell mögen Motten alle Textilien aus tierischer Herkunft. Je naturbelassener, desto besser. Das bedeutet, Leder, Pelz und Wolle sind sehr beliebte Nahrungsquellen für Motten. Motten fühlen sich von Menschlichen Ausdünstungen ebenfalls sehr angezogen – deshalb bitte Wollprodukte unbedingt gut Auslüften und/oder waschen, wenn laut Pflegeetikett möglich, bevor diese in der Dunklen Lade oder im Schrank verschwinden.
Um Wollprodukte vor Motten zu schützen empfehlen wir diese bei Nichtbenutzung luftdicht zu verpacken. Davor jedoch das Produkt auszulüften und/oder zu waschen (nur wen laut Pflegeetikett erlaubt). Motten mögen keine starken Gerüche wie Lavendel oder Zedernholz. Das kann man beim Luftdichten verpacken berücksichtigen.
